The Teen Leadership Corps is an INCH conference program that includes a component of serving, as well as learning. As such, students will be given a t-shirt to wear and will serve as ambassadors as they represent INCH to our conference guests, speakers, and exhibitors. TLC participants will be challenged to think deeply, serve others, and make new friends through workshops, service, and team-building activities.
Learn & Grow
There will be exclusive workshops that are tailored just for the teens. These sessions are designed to challenge and encourage the teens. This year we are very excited to welcome Eric and Leslie Ludy to come motivate our teens toward living a godly life.
On Friday, they will have split sessions – Leslie with the girls, and Eric with the guys. And on Saturday they will have combined session while they are not serving in their various duties.
For Girls: True Beauty – Exchanging Insecurity for Christ-Built Confidence
Insecurity is a struggle that countless women today can relate to. But contrary to what we are
often told, building up our own self-esteem is not the solution to escaping the trap of comparison
and self-doubt. Only when we encounter the Cross of Jesus Christ and let it transform every
part of our existence can we truly discover the joy, peace, and courage that we long for. In this
candid and practical session, Leslie offers biblical solutions to overcoming insecurity and teaches
us how to go to the right Source for lasting confidence and let your life shine with Heavenly
For Guys: The Sack of Cement
The raw materials for manliness are all there, but most boys never become the men that God intended them to become. Like cement desiring to be concrete, something seems to be missing in the mix. This manly and powerful message goes straight to the heart of true manhood and reveals that “something” that is missing. In a world where manliness has become increasingly more and more incorrect, this is a reminder of how significant and important godly manhood is to marriage, family, the church, and the world. This life-changing session with Eric Ludy causes a young man to pack on forty pounds of muscle and grow five feet in a single hour.
Combined Session: The Endless Frontier
Most of us as Christians live spiritually paralyzed, knowing how we ought to be living, but not living that way. We stare at the high mountain peaks of God’s purposes, but we often just take pictures of it and say, “Wow! That’s amazing” instead of boldly heading out to climb them. This powerful message with Eric and Leslie Ludy will help you start climbing, pursuing, daring, and living boldly again, or for the first time. Discover the “Endless Frontier” of walking with Jesus Christ, and gain an epic vision for living out real, world-changing Christianity.
Lead & Serve
The TLC can look forward to a great time, but it isn’t just fun and games. They will have an opportunity to learn about leadership and responsibility first-hand as they confront challenges and help fill essential roles that are vital to the success of our conference. This time will be led by Nicole Winter and Bri Howard
Nicole is an 19 year old homeschool graduate studying Nursing at Lansing Community College. She has been part of the TLC for the past 7 years and enjoys children and teen ministry as well as volleyball and coffee and mission trips.
Bri Howard is a 23-year-old former homeschooler, currently living in the Grand Rapids area. She spends her days working on staff at her church as the kids ministry administrator and as a volunteer youth leader, working as a media manager and writer for an online branding company, and working as a sales associate at a retail resale store. She enjoys writing, photography, soccer, and spending time with her family!
How Does it All Work?
Teen Leadership Corps participants are trained and enabled to be useful and helpful in behind-the-scenes conference duties. Teens will be placed on teams and will get to know their fellow TLC members as they build leadership and teamwork skills throughout the event. Over the course of the conference, teams will rotate through workshops and service jobs. Each team will have a team leader to train, encourage, supervise, and work closely with them. Please note, however, that teens are often spread throughout the Conference Center when serving and they will have short breaks throughout the day. In light of this, we ask that registered teens be mature enough to stay with their group and have the ability to meet back with their team at specified times.

What if my teen can’t commit to the whole time?
Who will be working with my teen?
The Teen Leadership Corps is being supervised and led by INCH staff. INCH staff will be managing the time of the teens and building into them as the conference unfolds.
How closely will my teen be supervised?
Each team has a team leader to guide them through the scheduled program. Teens will interface with their team leader- however, we treat TLC participants as young adults. They will not be “checked in” or “checked out” by parents. Teens will move about the facility freely during service jobs, breaks, or other scheduled activities.
Teens are expected to conduct themselves in a responsible, honoring, courteous, and Christ-like manner at all times. Representing both Christ and INCH, we look to the TLC to provide TLC, for our conference attendees, exhibitors, and speakers. For the benefit of the TLC as a whole, teens who are disrespectful and/or uncooperative will be excused from the program without a refund.
