Homeschool Region 1

Luke & Amy Gilner
Region 1 Representatives

Facebook.com/Region1rep

Luke and Amy live in the Escanaba area and have been homeschooling their girls since 2012. Even though they both attended public school, they could never wrap their minds around the idea of sending young children away for eight hours a day to be schooled. Both believe that time with their children is precious and put a high priority on providing a strong Christian education for their daughters at home. Luke is a GIS Analyst for Lyme Great Lakes Timberlands and Amy has her own photography business but their top priority is always their family. Their family has been active in the local homeschool community wherever they have lived and Amy has served and taught classes at homeschool co-ops using the talents and gifts God has given her. At their current homeschool co-op, Amy teaches art and takes class photos, as well as the photos for the homeschool sports teams, and is in charge of the yearbook. Their girls are thriving at home where they learn by using My Father’s World Curriculum.

Amy regularly attends the annual INCH Conference and has heard and met some extremely inspiring speakers and connected with some really great people while in Lansing. She loves the fellowship and the encouragement she experiences there and always has great things to say about it to others considering attending. The Gilners are very excited about sharing their love of home discipleship and learning at home with others in their community by serving as MICHN Regional Reps for Region 1!
